The Official Logo of ‘Mixja ghall-Missjoni’ .
The official logo is the design of Michelle Caruana, a member of a local missionary group which will also be participating in this event.
The inspiration for this design came from the call for all nations to unite in the spreading of the Message of Hope to the ends of the earth - map of the world shaped in a footprint
This logo can be used with the permission of the Pontifical Mission Societies.
"He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned" [Mark16:15-16]. The five continents - represented by the toes -are: Blue – Oceania, Red - America, Yellow – Asia, Green – Africa and White – Europe. The dove symbolizes the Gift of Faith which is received through the Holy Spirit by all who believe. The artist wanted to depict the message behind the slogan ‘G]inni Nemmen, G]inni Ng]ix’ (Help me believe, Help me live). All those who truly live the mission of spreading the Good News have a firm conviction that in sharing their belief with their fellow brothers and sisters, they are giving them true life.
